Scottie's Diner 1202 Tennessee Ave, Etowah, TN 37331. Review: My first time at Scottie's Diner. So glad we stopped in. As we walked in, we were warmly greeted by staff and server took us directly to the table of our choice. Asked what we wanted for drinks and giving us time to look over the menu. I ordered a hamburger & onions with fries. Superb flavors. Handicapped parking at the far left end with slight graded ramp into outdoor dining area for covered entry into the indoor dining room. Well thought out for wheelchair guests. Very warm and friendly atmosphere created by staff and decor choices. I highly recommend.

Beck's Top Shelf Wine & Spirits 623 Tennessee Ave, Etowah, TN 37331. Review: My wife and I have been going to this location for several years. Always have what we're looking for. If you go in and don't find it - just go ahead and ask. Don't be shy. They're always glad to help. You will probably be pleasantly surprised. There is so much in stock and on the shelves and refrigerated and not refrigerated that it can be easy to miss. A picture is worth a thousand words so I'm including these to add to my review. I recommend based on wide selection kept in stock and on shelves, friendly customer service, great location and nice size parking area. Advance Auto Parts 725 Tennessee Ave, Etowah, TN 37331. Review: So glad we have Advance Auto Parts in Etowah. I'm traveling up and down eastern Tennessee just about every day. It's been amazing timing how I needed to get some quick automobile tasks done while near this auto parts place. On two separate occasions needing to get new car batteries. The team members took care of taking out the old one and putting in the new one quickly. Today just stopped in to check on some things and found a variety of items to consider but just not quite ready to purchase. Feels like home walking in and being greeted and asked if I can use any assistance and if not just let them know how they can help. Pricing is also competitive, great service and great selection of automobile accessories and more to choose from. Always a pleasant shopping experience and staff always asking if they can help or let you know to not hesitate if they can be of service. Plenty of free parking in large parking lot. Calhoun's 4550 City Park Dr, Lenoir City, TN 37772. Review: Always LOVE the riverside dining experience here at Calhoun's. The decor with all the windows and outdoor sitting areas where you may enjoy the riverside views and dining makes one of the best dining atmospheres you may experience anywhere. The staff is always friendly and helpful about making suggestions from the wide variety of options on the menu. The food is delicious and my favorite like today is the BBQ chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. I've eaten at a lot of restaurants throughout eastern Tennessee. The sweet potato fries with cinnamon sauce is the best here. I live in Athens but stop by Calhoun's about once a month for lunch while work keeps me on the road in east Tennessee. Panera Bread 375 Paul Huff Pkwy NW, Cleveland, TN 37312. Review: Stopped by for an early lunch. Always love the relaxing and welcoming atmosphere here. Always spend a few extra minutes on laptop taking care of business communications and don't feel like anyone making me feel like time for me to leave. Service has always been top notch and often enjoy a little friendly banter. Food has always been delicious and nicely presented. Bald River Falls 107 River Rd, Tellico Plains, TN 37385. Review: A beautiful local destination for nature and outdoor portraits as well as hiking. May take several visits to experience all the area has to offer. Other waterfalls in area and lots to see. Additional parking was impractical and cost-prohibitive to do since the construction of the new bridge. There are other parking areas not too far away and a relatively short walk is rewarded with opportunity to enjoy the scenery and fresh air. The Patio Italian Restaurant 107 College St S, Madisonville, TN 37354. Review: Great, food, service and atmosphere. Love the option to eat in open air covered patio at front entrance. Received friendly greeting and immediately taken to table. Didn't have to wait long for our order. The black peppered salmon and cajun in noodles is my favorite. Wonderful blend of flavors just right. Highly recommend. Wheelchair accessibility is very good. There is an additional separate dining area to accommodate large groups towards the back of restaurant. El Jinette Mexican Restaurant 2011 Congress Pkwy S, Athens, TN 37303. Review: Warmly greeted as we entered. Hostess immediately took us to our table. Great atmosphere. Mexican music playing in background. We didn't have to wait long for our food. I believe about 10 minutes. Food is superb. I think I've just found my new favorite Mexican Restaurant. Charles Hall Museum 229 Cherohala Skyway, Tellico Plains, TN 37385. Review: So absolutely amazed! I confess I was not anticipating much of a museum. This place does NOT disappoint. Charles Hall Museum really is a museum and of high caliber. For those who are truly history buffs especially of the local area you will find a lot of historical items and history told with displays throughout the museum. The museum is FREE and it is housed in two separate buildings. Don't neglect touring both buildings as each house unique historical items. They do accept donations so I recommend being prepared to donate if you feel moved to do so. There are gift shops conveniently located at each building so you may enjoy souvenirs as well as local and hard to find items anywhere else. We were warmly greeted when we entered both buildings. Nice and relaxing shopping atmosphere. Wheelchair accessibility just requires going over a short sidewalk through the main entrance doors at both museum buildings. Firehouse Subs 1812 Decatur Pike, Athens, TN 37303. Review: Large and medium size sandwiches with a bag of chips and large soda drink $27. Worth it. Sloan's of Etowah 1217 US-411, Etowah, TN 37331. Review: City of Etowah is fortunate to have a Sloan's store. Just about everything I ever need for home maintenance, lawn care and more is there. Friendly and helpful staff always greet me and ask if they can be of assistance. This trip needed deck nails, a new hammer, electrical connectors and some air conditioning vents. Too many great products to list. Next time I will try to do some more 360° photos showing the wide and great selection of items carried in the other main area of the store. The front entrance is wheelchair accessible. Plenty of free parking all around including bay doors to park close for picking up larger items from inside store. Bookout's Tire and Lube 809 Athens Pike, Etowah, TN 37331. Review: I purchased four new tires. Very nice and comfortable area to wait during servicing. Didn't have to wait long. Good coffee and water provided at no charge. Highly recommend Bookout's Tire & Lube. Fast and friendly service and competitive pricing. Walgreens 1011 US-411, Etowah, TN 37331. Review: Love the new location of Walgreens in Etowah. My first time going into the new location. Like the money saved buying Walgreens brand products instead of the major brands. I received a friendly greeting when entering. Asked if I needed help. I chose to look around to familiarize myself where everything is and then picked up and purchased the products I went in for. Parking for wheelchair accessibility near front entrance. Tractor Supply Co. 622 Congress Pkwy S, Athens, TN 37303. Review: I've been a regular customer here for several years. I use a store card here which is convenient. Tractor Supply has more variety of product variations than what I find elsewhere. This is what I like most which distinguishes from the rest as far as meeting my more particular tastes and preferences. People who are use to going elsewhere might want to consider checking out Tractor Supply just to make sure you aren't missing out on a greater variety of product choices. Patriot Cakes Restaurant & Bakery 617 Congress Pkwy N, Athens, TN 37303. Review: My first time here. Now I see what all the fuss is about. Stopped in for an early lunch meal. Warmly greeted when we walked in. There is also an ice cream shop inside. The meal was delicious. The atmosphere friendly and the patriotic decor made me feel at home. My father and his brother are both retired Air Force. Service was quick and friendly. There is wheelchair accessibility right at the front entrance. I will be going back. Food City 841 US-411, Etowah, TN 37331. Review: By far Food City is the best grocery store in Etowah. Greater selection and competitive pricing. Plenty of free parking. Food City also offers their own brands of products and some are healthier options. Some Food City options are lowered price than comparable products offered by popular brand names. There is music playing softly in the dining area. The service and atmosphere has always been great every time I've stopped in at Fazoli's. Steamers Subs 607 N Main St, Sweetwater, TN 37874. Review: Stopped in at Steamers Subs for the first time. Highly recommended by a friend who told me she goes there several times a week. Told me Steamers makes great sandwiches. So I had to check it out for myself while driving through Sweetwater. Yes! A great sandwich shop located downtown. A cubbyhole size restaurant but don't let the small size fool you. I ordered a delicious large sub which was so filled with ingredients I decided to eat the other half for dinner that evening. Wheelchair accessible with parking on the street in front and around the block corners. My lady friend and I were warmly greeted by both employees when we walked in. The cook who took our orders also brought our sandwiches to our table for us. Atmosphere was cozy and friendly. Good selection of subs to choose from and made to order custom. AutoZone Auto Parts 4519 US-411, Madisonville, TN 37354. Review: Stopped in Madisonville for lunch and friend wanted to pick-up some air fresheners, candy and look at floor mats for her car. AutoZone has a lot of different products that sometimes most of us don't think about which makes being on the road a lot more comfortable. This AutoZone was neat, clean and highly organized. Tellicafe 128 Bank St, Tellico Plains, TN 37385. Review: Warm and friendly greeting as we entered. Taken to a booth table within a minute. This was one of my stops to treat my wife to Mother's Day celebration for just the two of us. Within a minute or so our waitress introduced herself and asked us about drinks while giving us the opportunity to look over the Mother's Day menu and other items to consider. I chose the Salmon, with baked sweet potato and pinto beans. Delicious! My wife chose a house salad with blue cheese dressing. For her entrée she chose a fried chicken breast with honey Dijon mustard sauce and baked potato. My compliments to the chef for both our entrées. The banana pudding literally just like my mother use to make. Brought back fond memories of my mother's cooking. Tellicafe also has karaoke on Thursdays, line dancing Fridays and live music on Saturdays. Just check their Facebook for schedule. O'Charley's Restaurant & Bar 148 Paul Huff Pkwy NW, Cleveland, TN 37312. Review: As the two of us walked in we were greeted warmly and taken immediately back to a booth. Within a minute our server introduced herself and took our order. Drinks and appetizers were brought to us within a few minutes. The loaded potato skins were delicious. Also the appetizers were 50% off regular price during Happy Hour from 3pm to 6pm. On Wednesday it is also FREE Pie Day. After our delicious meals, I chose a free Caramel Pie and my wife chose a free Cherry Pie. Awesome desserts. I recommend this O'Charley's Restaurant & Bar. I was immediately greeted when I walked up to place my order. Time was Always a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere. My personal favorite is the Sweet Fire Chicken. I think the price is right too. The Lost Sea Adventure 140 Lost Sea Rd, Sweetwater, TN 37874. Review: Cool walking so deep under the ground. Surprising the geology knowledge and things to learn. Great photo opportunities especially boat ride on the lost sea. There is an overnight tour available as well. Take some extra money to enjoy the ice cream parlor, gem mine and the fantastic glass blown sculptures. Highly recommend for a little weekend getaway in east Tennessee. Rhea County Courthouse Historic Landmark. 1475 Market St, Dayton, TN 37321. Review: A great historic landmark. Books and movies are still produced about the Scopes Trial back in 1925. History buffs paradise. The museum exhibits and staff helped bring the Scopes Trial back to life. A great place for school field trips. I would enjoy going again with friends who enjoy history. Review: All-you-can-eat Pan Asian buffet offered in spacious dining areas with decor adding to a warm and relaxing atmosphere. When I'm in Chattanooga and wanting Chinese food, this is the place to go to. Every time I order something different. Always glad I did as I sometimes discover new foods which becomes favorites. All the staff are attentive and the service is all the better for it. Be aware of the fact per company policy, a customary 15% service charge is added to all parties of six or more, no matter how tickets are split. Thousands of movies on blu-ray discs priced for a few dollars and in like new condition. Great for home theater enthusiasts like myself. Save money on books, music, video games and more. Back down in the Chattanooga area today on little business trip and always great to stop by Ankar's to relax and enjoy a good tasting lunch meal. Iron Works Grille 1641 Cherohala Skyway, Tellico Plains, TN 37385. Review: Checking out the beautiful waterfalls in the area around Iron Works Grille. Great food, atmosphere and the waitress was absolutely awesome. They also host live music entertainment and will be going back to enjoy that again as well. Outside dining also available with beautiful river view. Love Iron Works Grille baked Trout with two side. This time I chose mashed potatoes and fried okra. Photo assistant with me ordered a Salmon Salad. She said it was very flavorful. For those of us who are bike riders, Iron Works Grille has thoughtfully provided a lot of well placed motorcycle parking. If you've never been to Iron Works Grille, check it out. Bradley's Sweet Side 513 New Hwy 68, Sweetwater, TN 37874. Review: My first time at Bradley's Sweet Side. Very pleasantly surprised by the great flavors and options. I ordered a banana split and received more quantity than I expected. This seems to be true of everything. Other ice cream shops I've been to throughout eastern Tennessee has not matched the value I received while at Bradley's Sweet Side. There is also a nice covered outdoor dining area with a couple of swings for little ones and three picnic tables in uncovered outdoor area for really taking in beautiful days to relax and enjoy some great ice cream desserts. An area with cushion seating available. Outdoor covered option with tables and chairs. This coffee shop is truly a hidden gem in Etowah. If you tired of waiting in a vehicle line for coffee and would like a place to relax and enjoy a soothing cup of coffee in peace and tranquility with free wi-fi, this is your place to be. Today my girlfriend and I stopped in for lunch around 1:30pm. I had a Philly Steak sandwich with french fries and a Coke. My girlfriend had a bowl of salad and BBQ Potato & Grilled Chicken with bacon with sweet tea. Enjoyed a relaxing and friendly atmosphere. Priced right. I usually spend around $22 per person. I visited the Walmart website which indicated the microcards with the features I wanted were not available at my local Walmart in Athens, Tennessee. Well, I had a client shoot to go do and I would be passing by Walmart anyway, so I stepped in to verify the microcards situatiin. I thought I had correctly remembered a good selection. And now with Christmas approaching i had to check. Yes! Even better selection and cards which also met my specifications for shooting 8K video and more. So I quickly purchased a half dozen 512 gb cards. I just happened to check the website before the update. Walmart carries a lot of great products at low prices. There's a huge lawn area, artistic bridge murals, restrooms nearby and clean, playground area. The Square is easily within walking distance. I recommend going during the summer to enjoy everything the most. I was here today for business purposes and pleasure. I had to shoot some photography and video. The sky was mostly grey. But my photo assistant and I enjoyed the time there and spent a few hours just enjoying the sights and sounds. We loved the walk and plan to go back again this summer just for fun. I chose the Bourbon-Glazed Salmon & Shrimp and lady friend with me chose the same. I knew it was time to write a review since this is the restaurant I always to go for lunch when I'm in Knoxville. There is a wonderful outdoor area for dining as well but it was just a little too cold this time. I have to highly recommend. Just can't see how anyone would be disappointed.
