The Splash Pad is Open Daily 10am to 8pm during season.
The Playground is open daily 8am until dusk.
Athens Regional Park is located a convenient half mile right off of the I-75 Exit 49 in Athens, Tennessee. Whether you are commuting between Chattanooga and Knoxville, or resident of the Friendly City, there is something for everyone at Athens Regional Park. This park features walking trails, playground, Splash Pad, softball fields, soccer fields, fishing lakes, an 18 hole disc golf course, pavilions, and plenty of open space. Also located at the Athens Regional Park is the Southeast Tennessee Trade and Conference Center and the McMinn County Expo Center.
The rate of renting the green and purple shade structures at the Regional Park Splash Pad and Playground is $30 for a two hour reservation beginning May 1, 2024. Reservations may be made online at www.athenstn.gov or by calling the Parks & Recreation office at (423) 744-2704, or by visiting the office at 815 N. Jackson St in Athens, Tennessee Monday-Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.
This area is not supervised. Play at your own risk. Adult supervision is strongly recommended.
Swimsuits and/or appropriate attire must be worn at all times. Footwear is recommended.
Bicycles, scooters, skateboards, rollerblades, or similar wheeled vehicles are not allowed.
Strollers, wheelchairs, and walkers are allowed.
Amplified music is not permitted.
Smoking, including vaping and other tobacco products, are not permitted within 100 feet of this area.
Glass containers, or breakable objects, are prohibited in this area.
Athletic equipment, balls, bats, beach balls, noodles, etc., are not permitted in this area.
No water guns, balls, toys or similar items allowed.
No dogs or other animals allowed in this area, except for service animals. Service animals are not allowed in water.
No horseplay or reckless behavior.
Please vacate the area when conditions call for thunder or lightning, or lightning prediction system sounds horn.
The area, or parts of the area, may be closed at any time due to maintenance.
The Splash Pad is for recreation purposes, not for bathing. No soap, detergents, or shampoos allowed.
Do not climb, hang, or swing on any of the Splash Pad equipment.
Water in the Splash Pad is chlorinated and recirculates through a filtration system. For your safety, please DO NOT drink the water.
Do not move the picnic tables.
No outside vendors allowed without proper permit.
Children, not toilet trained, must wear a swim diaper while using the Splash Pad.
The Purple and Green shade structures are subject to group/party reservations. If a reservation permit has been issued, you must vacate the structure. The Orange shade structure remains open on a first-come, first-served basis.
